The Emerging Leaders Committee (EL) of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, Mo., has initiated a mentoring program for its contractor and associate members.

“The program seeks to unite seasoned concrete construction professionals with members of lesser experience in a guided program to share knowledge and expertise,” says Greg Hyde, Hyde Concrete, and an EL Committee member.

The program is open to all ASCC contractor and associate members at no cost. Mentors are selected for their proficiency in a variety of disciplines, i.e. tilt-up, super-flat floors, decorative concrete, industrial construction, business management, field operations, etc. Mentees can be any member looking to augment their general concrete construction knowledge or find guidance in a particular area.

“This program directly supports ASCC’s mission to ‘enhance the capabilities of those who build with concrete,’ says Matt Poppoff, co-chair of the EL.
