The Valley of the Sun (VOS) Chapter of Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) named Michelle Grider, Textura Client Services Manager, the 2012 "Best Under the Sun Associate Member" at its annual banquet on April 26th. Members are nominated based on their leadership and contribution to the organization and voted on by the Board of Directors.
Grider has been an active member of the CFMA for six years, serving on many committees and on the Board of Directors. Her leadership roles include editor of the chapter's newsletter, The Copper State Ledger, and chairing the committee that organized last year's 25th Anniversary Gala. Marj Weber, CCIFP, CFO, Irontree Construction, Inc., nominated Grider for the award and said, "Michelle is an outstanding asset to the organization. Those that served with her on the 25th Anniversary Gala Committee can attest that she is a true leader in the Valley of the Sun tradition."
"The CFMA is an invaluable asset for construction financial professionals," Grider said. "I am fortunate that the VOS Chapter offers so many opportunities to get involved with important activities and truly amazing people. The relationships I formed have helped me grow personally and professionally, and they will last a lifetime.
