BNSF Plans $335 Million in Railway Improvements in Montana, North Dakota

Railway will build new staging tracks, sidings and surface more than 2,300 miles of track

Burlington Northern Santa Fe outlined its 2013 capital expansion project for Montana and North Dakota to the tune of $335 million dollars.

BNSF plans to spend $115 million maintaining and expanding rail capacity in Montana.

BNSF's North Dakota capital program plans spending $220 million state-wide.

Major North Dakota projects includes three new sidings near Minot, Tioga, & Palermo.

Railway officials say the company has invested more than $42 billion improving its freight-rail network since 2000.
