Car maker investing $500 million for new Charleston plant which will create 1,300 new jobs

Mercedes-Benz plans to invest $500 million to build a new Sprinter commercial van plant in Charleston, S.C. Construction of the 8.6-million-square-foot plant is expected to being in 2016. The new plant is expected to create 1,300 jobs.
