Southern Nevada's largest planned community broke ground for its first new residential village since 2004. The Cliffs in Summerlin will have 1,700 homes in 11 neighborhoods on 450 acres.
The project is expected to create between 4,000 and 5,000 construction jobs and take five year to complete.
Summerlin has around 5,400 acres of land left and a buildout of more than 20 years. When it is complete, Summerlin will have nearly 100,000 homes.
