NY Construction Business Owner Sentenced to Six Months in Prison for Payroll Tax Fraud

Owner of R & L Construction Inc. required to pay back nearly $4 million to IRS and an additional one year of home confinement after prison sentence is served

Patrick White, owner of R & L Construction Inc. in Yonkers, N.Y., has been sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to payroll tax fraud in January. White made nearly $4 million from the scheme between 2005 and 2011 where he improperly reported employees' wages and then used those funds for personal expenses.

White is required to pay back the money owed to the IRS. After serving his time in prison, White has also been sentenced to an additional year of home confinement.
