Soil Retention Systems, Inc. is a family owned and operated company with a corporate office located in Carlsbad, Calif., and the main manufacturing plant is located in Riverside County, Calif.

Since 1987, Soil Retention has been manufacturing and installing plantable retaining wall block systems called Verdura. Caltrans approved, Verdura is a fully plantable retaining wall system that is a versatile and strong Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) retaining wall. Verdura offers the ability to create "living walls", providing the strength and function of a standard retaining wall plus the added ability to sustain live plantings. Verdura applications include high and critical walls, tiered walls, channel walls, detention basin walls, screen walls, sound walls, bridge abutments, head walls, top, bottom and mid-slope walls.

Two other products Soil Retention also manufactures are and Enviroflex. Drivable Grass is a permeable, flexible and plantable concrete pavement system that is environmentally friendly and an alternative to poured concrete and asphalt.  Drivable Grass can be used for a wide variety of applications including driveways, parking areas, fire lanes, pathways, access roads, green roofs, slope armor, trickle channels, stream bank installation, culvert outlets, bioswales, ditches, RV and boat storage, golf card paths, drainage channels, and more. 

Enviroflex is a tapered interlocking articulating concrete block (ACB) revetment system designed for erosion control use in areas with high velocity flows that are subject to scour. Enviroflex applications include channel lining, dam/spillway overtopping protection, culvert outlets, detention/retention basins, embankments, levee stabilization, wetland traffic crossings, boat ramps, pipeline protection, bridge pier protection, and drainage swales.

Drivable Grass is produced in manufacturing plants nationwide and is distributed nationally as well as internationally through channels of distributors and retailers. Verdura and Enviroflex are shipped nationwide from southern California.
