Erica Floyd has been named new Editor-in-Chief of Equipment Today, tasked with producing high-quality content and spearheading editorial efforts for all facets of the brand, including print, digital, social, webinar, podcast and more. Floyd will also take over the execution of Equipment Today's newly revamped Contractors' Top New Products award, contribute to the Construction Network's Digging Deeper podcast channel and help manage the ForConstructionPros.com website.
Floyd brings more than 15 years of editorial and communications experience to her new role. She has written and edited everything from B2B magazines to personal essays to press releases in multiple markets, including manufacturing, logistics, agriculture and automotive parts.
She’s also spent the past two years serving as the assistant general contractor for her home’s gut remodel and addition, so her investment in choosing the appropriate construction equipment for the job is personal.
“As an avid home design and construction enthusiast, I am excited to lead Equipment Today’s efforts in providing comprehensive resources for the construction equipment market,” Floyd says.
