At ICUEE 2011, Paladin displayed the preliminary design for its new Heavy Duty Brush Cutters for skid-steer loaders. The units feature a direct drive system for smoother, quieter operation, and a full 1/4-in. steel "clean deck" design with high-quality powder coat to help keep the deck clear of debris and enable easier cleaning and maintenance. The alternating bevel blade design provides a deep, penetrating cut with a cutting width of 72 in. and a 3-in. minimum cutting height (skid shoes on the ground). Blades are made of 3/4-in.-thick steel with a reversible design for added blade life.
- Heavy-duty push bar with optimal geometry improves control and felling of trees
- Fully shielded motor and valve
- Replaceable wear shoes
- Fully enclosed floating front shield
- Require 30- to 45-gpm skid-steer hydraulics
