Liebherr previewed the first two entries in a new line of rough-terrain cranes, the 100-ton (US) LRT 1090-2.1 and 110-ton LRT 1100-2.1. The LRT 1090-2.1 features a 154-ft. telescopic boom. Its telescoping system consists of a two-stage hydraulic cylinder with a rope extension mechanism. The LRT 1100-2.1 has a 164-ft. five-part telescopic boom with a "Telematik" telescoping system. Both models are powered by emissions-compliant Cummins diesel engines. Sales will start at the beginning of next year with delivery in the second half of 2017.
