Backhoe-loaders continue to be a dominant force on many jobsites. These versatile units offer the value of two machines in one — with a highly capable loader on one end and an efficient excavating tool on the other. And their ability to accommodate a wide spectrum of attachments makes them one of the most flexible and indispensable tools in many construction fleets.

Following is a look at available backhoe-loader models, from the smallest to the largest.

Allmand Bros. Inc.
The Allmand compact tractor-loader-backhoe line includes diesel- and gasoline-powered models ranging from 20 to 40 hp. The ELS backhoe design features oversized polished pins with replaceable composite bearings and urethane lip seals in all working joints. The industrial-class backhoes provide digging forces up to 6,000 lbs. Dual-cylinder, 180° hydraulic cushioned swing allows precise backhoe work in tight areas.
