During normal equipment operation particles are created by the moving parts and carried away by the oil or fluid. Some particles are captured by the filters but many very small particles can pass through the filter media. Noria Corporation reported that when 1 harmful particle gets past the filter 6 more are created. These small particles continue to circulate in oil or fluids and create the additional wear. FilterMag captures these harmful particles to prevent them from continuing to circulate in the oil or fluids.
