CASE Construction Equipment has introduced the CX380E large excavator, the latest addition to its E Series lineup. With 268 horsepower and an operating weight of 83,114 lbs (37,700 kg), the new model is built to handle demanding applications such as land clearing, trenching, pipe handling and rock breaking.

Optimized for Performance and Efficiency

The CX380E delivers 56,000 lbs. of breakout force and quick cycle times. Operators can fine-tune machine performance using four adjustable work modes — Super Power, Power, Eco, and Lifting — each offering up to 10 throttle settings. Eco mode improves fuel efficiency by up to 18% compared to previous CASE models. Telematics capabilities further support fuel monitoring and data-driven efficiency improvements.

Hydraulic Flow Control Balance technology improves responsiveness by adjusting flow priority during operations like arm and boom movements. Selectable free swing functionality offers better control and stability on uneven terrain or when placing loads.

Simplified Controls and Attachment Management

The CX380E’s 10-inch touchscreen display allows operators to customize sensitivity settings and store preferences for up to 10 attachments. With one-touch attachment switching, operators can save time and reduce the risk of overload or error. A built-in 270-degree camera system enhances visibility and safety.

Operator Comfort Comes Standard

The excavator’s cab is designed to support operators through long shifts with features like heated air-suspension seating, increased legroom and a suspended operator station that keeps controls consistent regardless of the operator’s size. The layout aims to reduce fatigue and enhance productivity.

Remote Diagnostics and Support

The CX380E is equipped with remote telematics for diagnostics and software updates, reducing the need for on-site service calls. CASE also includes its ProCare support program with the machine, offering a 3-year/3,000-hour full warranty, 3-year/2,000-hour maintenance plan, and a 5-year telematics subscription.

The CX380E continues CASE’s focus on delivering machines that combine strength and smart features to support contractors, rental fleets and operators on tough job sites.
