Stellar Industries has acquired Midwest Fire, a custom fire apparatus manufacturer based in Luverne, Minnesota.
The acquisition expands Stellar’s work truck portfolio into the fire and emergency response market. Midwest Fire has manufactured custom fire apparatus since 1987, including brush trucks, pumpers, tankers, tanker-pumpers, quick-attacks, mini pumpers and Type 3 trucks.
Midwest Fire will continue operating as a distinct company under the Stellar portfolio, with its headquarters and operations remaining in Luverne.
The company will join other Stellar brands, including Elliott Equipment Co., which manufactures truck-mounted aerial work platforms, digger derricks and cranes.
Eligible Midwest Fire employees will also participate in Stellar’s employee stock ownership plan.
