The CM 785 drill from Atlas Copco is built on the straightforward design of the 700-series' drill rigs combined with features and components common within the Atlas Copco ROC crawler range. The new CM 785 handles five-meter pipes and can reach a total depth of 129 ft. A rotary head supplying 4,500-lb.-ft. torque and a high volume of flushing air (862 cfm at 350 psi) powers the rig for drilling holes up to 6.5-in.-diameter in a wide range of rock conditions. The variable air flow switch enables the operator to adjust the flushing air volume as required from the cabin and helps to maintain hole quality particularly when collaring. CM 785 is equipped with a cylinder-driven aluminum feed system. The drill rig is equipped with variable speed-cooling fan controls, load-sense hydraulics and engine auto-throttle for energy saving and minimized fuel consumption.
