Blacco Splicing & Rigging

The history of this family-owned rigging company dates back to 1956, the year Boyd Black founded Blacco Splicing & Rigging Loft, Inc. The business began in Heath, Ohio, as a humble wire rope sling splicing shop located in the front of a 30- by 10-foot block building that had been used to make fishing lures. The original line of products included everything from hand-spliced eye and eye slings, bridle slings, pendant lines, and grommets made from wire rope. As the company’s product offerings expanded to accommodate more customers, Blacco Rigging Supply opened locations in Newark and Columbus.
