Nominations are open for all awards, and the deadline for submitting entries is November 1. In most cases contractors can nominate themselves and their own work; manufacturers, producers and suppliers can nominate contractors as well. Final award determinations will be made by the Pavement staff in consultation with the Pavement Advisory Board.

New Categories
This year Pavement has added three new awards to honor contractors making an impact in the industry.
“Best Marketing Video Award” will be presented to a paving or pavement maintenance contractor that has developed a marketing video to promote its company, services and generate leads. All industry-related videos are eligible, including custom-designed efforts, drone videos, before-and-after videos, animation, and on-the-job videos.
“Best of the Web Award” will recognize a paving or pavement maintenance contractor that relies on an innovative, engaging, easy-to-use, stand-alone company website (not a social media site) to promote its company and services to potential customers.
“Cutting-edge Sweeper Award” recognizes that sweeping is not just about picking up dirt and debris. This award recognizes sweeping companies who are leading the industry in technology implementation, compliance and more. Their innovative practices are an example of change being a good thing for the company and the industry.
Deadline for entries for these and the other nine Pavement Awards is Nov. 1 – so start thinking about your entries. By the time this lands on your desk the season (for most of the country) will be more than half over and you likely will have either already completed or will soon start the job that can have you recognized in the industry.
So if you haven’t entered already (a good number of you have) take a look back at the jobs you completed this season. Which ones turned out especially good? Which ones had unusual or especially difficult challenges you and your team had to overcome? Which ones are you most proud of? Those are the jobs the Pavement Awards are designed to recognize. And if you haven’t completed a job that you think fits those criteria, take a look ahead at what’s in your pipeline – then ask yourself the same types of questions.
All entries must be made online at ForConstructionPros.com/PavementAwards – and entering is easy. All that’s required is a brief description of the job and its challenges, including an explanation of why the job should be recognized. Then upload two high-resolution photos – and your done!
