FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (January 2, 2019) – The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) will be hosting its 49th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo in Tampa, Florida, Feb. 8-12, 2019 at the Tampa Convention Center.

ATSSA is the roadway safety infrastructure industry association that represents more than 1,500 member companies that manufacture, supply, and install roadway safety infrastructure devices across the United States.

The event brings together over 3,500 roadway safety professionals, transportation officials, business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, corporate roadway department personnel, and other industry professionals from around the world.

As the thought leader in the roadway safety infrastructure industry, ATSSA will host innovative education and business sessions discussing topics including pavement markings as they relate to automated driving systems , smart work zones, and preparing roadway safety infrastructure for Connected Automated Vehicles (CAVs). During the event there will also be industry open forums like the Traffic Signals Open Forum, where members from the traffic signals segment of the industry will discuss ways they can work within the association.

To influence and inspire innovative thinking and give participants the opportunity to network with roadway safety professionals from across the country, ATSSA will be hosting several special events including the 2019 International Meet and Greet, and the event’s first ever Young Industry Professionals Reception.

ATSSA’s Annual Convention & Traffic Expo is also the place to present the latest in innovative roadway safety infrastructure devices and solutions that make our roadways safer. During the event ATSSA’s New Products Roll Out presents an opportunity to see the latest products designed to improve roadway safety, and winning entries will be honored at the event with the prestigious ATSSA Innovation Awards. Each year ATSSA’s Circle of Innovation (ACOI) provides companies with the chance to identify prevalent roadway safety challenges, and in this year’s edition, companies and state departments of transportation (DOTs) will be sharing the solutions and countermeasures they’ve implemented that address several of those challenges.

Additional features of the Traffic Expo include:
