Caterpillar Expands Utility Vehicle Line with 5-seat Models

The gasoline-powered CUV85 and diesel-powered CUV105 D expand the Cat utility vehicle offering. A spacious second row accommodates a total of five people. The units include a rugged steel cargo bed and have a 1,000-lb. total rear cargo capacity and 2,000-lb. towing capacity.

• CUV85 offers a 50-hp 0.8L three-cylinder gasoline engine and the CUV105 D has a 25-hp 1.0L three-cylinder diesel engine
• Feature a continuously variable transmission and two-wheel, four-wheel drive or four-wheel drive/lock modes
• Reach speeds up to 45 mph, depending on model
• Four-wheel independent suspension system with front sway bar provides stability at full load
• Smooth acceleration, clear sightlines and engine braking capability suited for hauling and towing
• Include electric power steering, an intuitive column shifter, adjustable driver seat position and steering wheel, easy to read instrument gauge and ample behind-the-seat storage and document holder
• Passenger seat bases can be removed and stowed behind the rear seat back to create floor space for hauling oversized items
• Easy access service points simplify maintenance, while on-board advanced diagnostics reduce troubleshooting time
