Western Global's AutoDEF is an auto-fill diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank pump that extends run times by refilling tanks with DEF automatically. The AutoDEF senses when the tank is in a dry state and starts pumping DEF as and when needed, eliminating the need for someone to be onsite at all times.

This field-tested technology includes a sensor in the nozzle to make sure it is correctly seated. A purge function keeps the lines clear and prevents crystallization. Designed for a range of equipment, the AutoDEF keeps DEF protected from various elements, with the fluid and cables running through an insulated cover.

The AutoDEF dispensing system can be added to either the inside of the DEFCube, mounted onto a Top Tote or in the cabinet of the TransCube, if using a Top Tote alongside this. When ordered, the AutoDEF will come readily fitted. Operators must insert the nozzle into the DEF cap and select ‘Auto start’ on the touchscreen to complete the process.

“With Tier 4 Final engines in place to meet goals for a more sustainable world, DEF will continue to be staple in the industry,” said Alex Schmantowsky, field product specialist at Western Global.
