WAUKESHA, WI -- Spancrete, a provider of precast concrete prodcuts, added two key project management positions. As the size, scope and complexity of projects continue to expand, so does the need for better front end project planning as well as enhanced project management capabilities. Spancrete offers these services to customers as a way to identify cost-saving opportunities throughout the project and effectively execute to the construction timeline.
"As the complexity and overall scope of projects increases, so does the expectation of our customers," says Alan Antoniewicz, President and COO of Spancrete. "The construction industry is in the midst of an exciting change where the sustainability and lean movement is altering the way we plan and manage projects. So that we can better manage these complicated projects, we promoted two long-time, incredibly talented employees."
Dick Baumgartner and Davin Stitgen were promoted to the new roles of project managers where the two will work closely on projects from initial project conception to final completion. Both Baumgartner and Stitgen will assist with projects that have a need for Spancrete's value-added services, helping to manage the complexities of project requirements and exceeding customers' expectations.
Baumgartner has more than 25 years of service at Spancrete and has been involved in every phase of Spancrete's precast business, including drafting, production and field construction. Prior to his position as project manager, Baumgartner recently held the position of quality control manager at the Spancrete facility in Valders, Wis.
Stitgen has worked at Spancrete for over five years as an engineer in the company's drafting and engineering department. Stitgen is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Most recently, Stitgen successfully led one of the company's internal project charter teams.
