Venco/Venturo Hires New Territory Manager

Steve Overby is responsible for developing relationships into new and existing markets covering much of the U.S.

Venco/Venturo announces the hire of a new sales rep in September 2013. Steve Overby joins the team as Venco/Venturo’s Territory Manager. Steve will be charged with carrying Venco/Venturo’s “Rugged, Reliable, Real” brand and developing relationships into new and existing markets nationwide. He will cover much of the country including Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana.

Steve is from Houston, and spent six years in the U.S. Coast Guard performing law enforcement and search and rescue as a Petty Officer with a Machinery Technician rating. After the service, he spent several years in hydraulic oilfield machinery manufacturing and eventually hydraulic crane service. In 1989, he started work as a hydraulic technician with Commercial Body Corporation with eventual promotions to service manager and then assistant service center manager in Houston.

In 1997, he assumed an outside sales position as account manager with Commercial Body Corporation for Truck Equipment Sales where he remained as territory manager for Truck Equipment and Service Sales which transitioned to Terex in 2001 until mid-2013.
Steve is married with 3 daughters and lives on a small ranch in Wimberley, Texas.
