Metabo HPT has announced the newest additions to its cordless lineup featuring water and dust resistant lighting with the launch of the 18V MultiVolt 1,050-lumen LED Handheld Spotlight (model UB18DHQ4) and 18V MultiVolt 4,000-lumen LED Tripod Site Light (model UB18DGQ4). Both are sold as tool body only and accept 18V batteries or 18V/36V MultiVolt battery (sold separately) for flexibility.
The portable lights can be used on the jobsite for a wide range of tasks and projects in indoor or outdoor areas. As 18V, the user can decide to GO lighter by using an 18V battery or choose to GO longer with the flexible 18V/36V MultiVolt battery to double the runtime per charge.
This 18V Multivolt Cordless 1,050-lumen LED Handheld Spotlight (tool body only) model UB18DHQ4 is equipped with four light settings: low, medium, high and strobe for versatility. Additionally, it offers two brightness modes. In wide mode it can produce 450-1,050 lumens and in spot mode it can produce a focused light beam between 400-950 lumens. At the highest setting, one can illuminate up to 730 yards of light range. The light is water and dust resistant due to its IP55 rating for a degree of protection under varying weather conditions.
Weighing 1.8 lbs., this handheld spotlight features an adjustable head that pivots into six preset angles ranging from 0° to 90°. Users can get up to 38.5 hours of runtime on the low setting or up to 12.5 hours of runtime on the high setting using an 18V/36V MultiVolt 8.0Ah battery BSL36B18/372121M (sold separately) on a single charge. A low battery notification function means the light will begin to flash three times every minute as the battery runs low to help alert the user.
The soft elastomer coating covering the ergonomic grip prevents slippage and supports handling. It can be positioned upright on the battery pack for when the spotlight needs to be set down and positioned to cast light directly. Individuals can also use one of the two included hooks to hang the spotlight from the belt hook or the adjustable larger utility hook for accessibility.
The 18V MultiVolt Cordless 4,000-lumen LED Tripod Site Light (tool body only) model UB18DGQ4 serves as a versatile lighting solution. It features four light settings: 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000 lumens. This light has a rotating head up to 230° (horizontal) and 215° (vertical). With 66 (white) LED lights combined into three rotatable panels, users can get up to 16.8 hours of runtime on the low setting and four hours on the maximum setting using an 18V/36V MultiVolt 8.0Ah battery BSL36B18/372121M (sold separately).
The tripod light is water and dust resistant due to the IP55 rating for a degree of protection from rugged elements. This LED light can extend from 39 in. up to 84 in. in height to meet different jobsite requirements and broadly cast light where it’s needed. Weighing 17.9 lbs., it comes with a carrying handle for transport and an AC adapter for versatile power options.
Both lights are part of the MultiVolt System of 18-volt and 36-volt cordless power tools from Metabo HPT.
