Founded in 1915 as a single-site recycling business in Dallas, Texas, CMC has grown into a leading domestic supplier of early stage construction solutions that span several critical areas of the modern construction site. From humble beginnings, today’s CMC is the largest U.S. manufacturer of steel reinforcing bar (rebar), the third largest supplier of mission-critical concrete pipe and precast products, and the leading producer of subgrade soil stabilization and foundation enhancement solutions, giving the Company a unique portfolio with which to serve a wide range of early-stage construction applications.

In addition to rebar, CMC is also a highly efficient producer of merchant bar, steel fence post and wire rod, making us a leader in the domestic steel long products market.
