FANUC America was named the Robotic Maintenance Vehicle (RMV) winner of Innovative System of the Year at FANUC’s annual Authorized System Integrator Conference. The award recognizes the most innovative integration using a FANUC robot.

FANUC is one of the world's largest producer of industrial robots.

The RMV was developed to pull road workers off the road and out of harm's way. The integrated system can perform standard road maintenance tasks utilizing industrial automation creating more efficient, safer solutions while requiring two to three fewer workers.

See it in action:

“I am incredibly proud of our entire team for winning FANUC's Innovative System of the Year award. Not only did we get amazing feedback from FANUC, but to win an award that is voted on by our peer integrators around the country really shows how hard our team worked at making something revolutionary,” said Todd Hendricks Jr., president at Pioneer Industrial Systems. "Roadwork is both incredibly dangerous and difficult, so automation is a perfect candidate to help fight the labor shortage. But, since the work has so many variables, it is a complex problem to solve.”
