Twiceme Technology has announced the release of Twiceme 2.0, a major update to its connected safety platform designed for use with personal protective equipment (PPE). The update introduces new features such as Automatic Alert and Consumer Connect, along with a redesigned and customizable mobile interface.
The Twiceme system uses embedded hardware in helmets, harnesses, and other safety gear, allowing users to store medical details and emergency contact information via Near Field Communication (NFC). In an emergency, first responders can access this data by scanning the Twiceme symbol with a smartphone.
New in Twiceme 2.0:
- Customizable Home Screen
The mobile app now lets users rearrange widgets—such as medical info, emergency contacts, and GPS location—to suit their preferences, improving access in time-sensitive situations. - Automatic Alert
This feature detects inactivity and prompts the user to confirm their status. If no response is received within a set period, the app automatically sends an alert to emergency contacts or designated responders. Users can adjust both the delay before prompting and the countdown before alerts are triggered. - Consumer Connect
Aimed at PPE manufacturers, Consumer Connect enables direct feedback collection from users. Brands can deploy questionnaires and access anonymized usage data to better understand how their equipment is being used in the field.
Twiceme 2.0 reflects a broader push toward smarter, more responsive safety systems on jobsites and in outdoor environments. The new features begin rolling out in June, with the update automatically applied for existing users. New users can download the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
