"Selling Safety": IPAF Summit on April 14 in Amsterdam

This year's IPAF Access Summit will focus on the theme "Selling Safety."

This year's IPAF Access Summit will focus on the theme "Selling Safety." The IPAF Summit is free and open to all interested parties. It will be held on April 14, 2011, starting at 1:30 p.m., at the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The conference is held in English, with simultaneous translation in German, Italian and Spanish.

The opening presentation will be given by Gérard Deprez, CEO of Loxam, one of Europe's largest equipment rental companies, and president of the European Rental Association. He will speak on "Renting powered access equipment successfully."

Other speakers include:

  • Steve Shaughnessy, IPAF president, who looks at how the powered access industry can sell safety to create a larger and wider market to the benefit of all.
  • Jennifer Mathis, partner at Ducker Research, who reveals the results of IPAF's annual market reports on the state of the U.S. and European powered access markets.
  • Chris Wraith, QHSE manager with Lavendon Access Services, who will encourage senior management to get the foundations right and who will discuss the correct use of spreader pads.
  • Andrew Fishburn, managing director of Spirit Network and Bravi, who will demonstrate the link between safety and productivity.

The Summit is free to all interested parties who should register online at www.iapa-summit.info. It is followed that evening by the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA) ceremony and dinner at the same venue.
