As expected, a House committee rejected a bill that would have changed the state's construction-defects law

On Tuesday, a Colorado House committee rejected a proposed bill that would have changed the state's construction-defects law and revised the procedures for construction lawsuits in multifamily developments. Supporters of the bill maintain the state's construction-defects law is hampering efforts to add affordable condo units to the state's housing needs. Opponents of the bill say it would have been too favorable to builders and developers.
