Ford Motor Company has named Alicia Boler Davis president of Ford Pro, the automaker’s commercial business unit, effective October 1. Davis brings over 30 years of experience spanning automotive, technology, and customer operations, including leadership roles at General Motors, Amazon and most recently as CEO of Alto Pharmacy.
She succeeds Andrew Frick, who has led Ford Pro on an interim basis since last year. Frick will continue in his roles leading Ford Blue and Ford Model e. Under his guidance, Ford Pro grew its market share in North America and Europe, delivered strong margins, and focused on expanding its aftermarket contributions through its vehicle, software, service and parts ecosystem.
Davis’ appointment marks a return to the automotive world — and Detroit — for the longtime executive. She began her career at General Motors, where she spent 25 years rising through engineering and manufacturing roles to become executive vice president of global manufacturing and labor relations.
Following her time at GM, Davis joined Amazon in 2019, eventually becoming senior vice president of global customer fulfillment. There, she led Amazon’s logistics operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, accelerating the company’s investment in robotics and fulfillment technology. Most recently, as CEO of Alto Pharmacy, she led the company to over $1 billion in revenue before its acquisition in March.
Ford CEO Jim Farley described Davis as the ideal person to lead Ford Pro’s continued shift into software and services. “She combines deep automotive and technology knowledge with an entrepreneurial and customer-obsessed mindset,” Farley said.
Davis currently serves on the board of JPMorgan Chase & Co. She holds degrees from Northwestern University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
