Volvo Cars Building New South Carolina Assembly Plant

Volvo Cars investing $500 million on first US auto assembly plant

Volvo Cars is investing $500 million to build a new factory in Berkeley County, S.C. Construction of the plant is scheduled to begin this fall and be fully operational by 2018. The auto assembly plant will be the company's first in the United States and is expected to be able to make 100,000 vehicles a year.
