Architect Ole Scheeren's 1500 Georgia project in Vancouver is a residential high-rise that reimagines what a skyscraper looks like. Scheeren is incorporating a series of cantilevers at the middle and top of the building which he hopes will "encourage residents to connect with the world outside without growing the structure's footprint."

The cantilevers will be made out of steel while the rest of the building will be concrete.
