Washington Governor Jay Inslee signed a package of transportation bills into law on Wednesday. The bills include an 11.9 cent gasoline tax increase and around $16 billion worth of projects around the state.
The first 7 cents of the gas tax hike becomes effective August 1, 2015. The transportation projects will stretch into 2031 and includes $879 million to finish the North Spokane Corridor over the next 14 years.
