Los Angeles is Building New Soccer Stadium

Privately funded stadium will be most expensive soccer-specific project in Major League Soccer history

With approval last week from the Los Angeles City Council, construction of a new $250-million soccer stadium in Exposition Park is scheduled to begin this summer. The privately financed stadium for the expansion Los Angeles Football Club is the most expensive soccer-specific project in Major League Soccer history.

The 22,000-seat stadium will be part of a 15-acre complex to be built next to the Coliseum. Opening of the stadium is targeted for March 2018.
