Shell Greenlights PA Petrochemical Plant Construction

Multi-billion dollar construction project could begin by the end of 2017 and create up to 6,000 construction jobs

Shell Chemical Appalachia is moving forward with construction of a multi-billion dollar petrochemical plant in western Pennsylvania. Shells says construction should begin within the next 18 months and hopes to have the plant online by 2020. It's estimated the project will create up to 6,000 construction jobs.

The exact price of the project has not been disclosed.
