Over-budget, Behind Schedule Colorado VA Hospital Set for Completion in 2017

Years behind schedule and hundreds of millions of dollars over budget, the Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System Hospital is now 78% complete

Almost a year after the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers took over construction of the troubled Aurora veterans hospital, the over budget and behind schedule hospital is nearly finished with scheduled completion for January 2017.

The project is currently 78% complete and still on track to cost $1.7 billion.

Contractor Kiewit-Turner has around 1,000 skilled workers per day on site.
