According to the Wells Fargo Equipment Finance Construction Quarterly Q3 2011, there is greater construction activity in 2011 compared to last year:
- 38.4% of construction industry executives surveyed said activity was "somewhat higher" or "much higher" than the previous year, compared with 28.5% who said so in 2010.
- 24.1% of respondents said construction activity is "somewhat lower" or "much lower" than a year ago, compared with 39.4% in 2010 who said activity was lower than the previous year.
- 43% of equipment distributors said construction activity was "somewhat higher" or "much higher" than the year previous, compared with 37% who said so in last year's survey.
- 34.3% of contractors said activity was "somewhat higher" or "much higher" than the previous year, compared with only 25% who said so in 2010.
