Link-Belt Excavators has launched a new digital tool called Payload Assist, aimed at providing operators with real-time payload data to support more accurate and efficient material handling on construction sites.
The app displays load measurements directly to operators, helping reduce overloading or underloading of trucks. By offering access to precise weight data, it enables better decision-making during loading operations.

What the App Does:
- Real-Time Reporting: Users can view load history and job-specific data like truck and machine ID, material type, location, date, time and weight. This information is accessible via smartphone and can support performance tracking and documentation.
- E-Ticketing for Communication: A built-in E-Ticket feature allows weighing results to be shared with truck drivers and site owners in real time, improving communication and coordination on site.
- Remote Monitoring: Loading data can be synced with RemoteCARE, Link-Belt’s telematics platform, allowing project managers to monitor machine performance and loading patterns remotely.
- Skill Development: By logging operator activity, the app helps crews assess performance and identify areas for improvement, contributing to more consistent site productivity.
Payload Assist is compatible with Payload and the Advanced Features package on Link-Belt’s 220 and 370 X4S models, with plans to expand support to additional machines. The app is currently available for download on Link-Belt’s website.
