Manitowoc announced the launch of a new 110 US ton capacity Grove GHC110 telescoping crawler crane — designed for a range of tasks, including alternative energy applications, road and bridge construction, and utility and barge work. The new crane, now available in the U.S., will debut at the Utility Expo in Louisville, Kentucky on September 28, 2021.

The Grove GHC110 telescoping crawler crane features:

  • Five-section main boom extension of 40.4 ft.-153.4 ft.
  • Maximum tip height of 162 ft. or up to 212 ft. with standard 49.2-ft. bifold offsettable swingaway boom extension
  • Offers 100% pick-and-carry capability across its standard 0.6°, 1.5° and 4° load charts
  • Main boom sections quickly and efficiently moved into required positions using two horizontally mounted pins and a single telescopic cylinder
  • Main and auxiliary hoists situated side by side at the rear, reducing tailswing and providing a maximum line pull of 19,404 lbs.
  • In-cab camera enables operators to easily monitor hoist movement
  • 20° of cab tilt plus three additional cameras provide added visibility and operator comfort
  • 249-hp Cummins QSB6.7 Tier 4 Final engine
  • Hydraulically extendable and retractable crossmembers offer a choice of three potential track spans (gauges) in symmetrical or asymmetrical track positions
  • Can be transported to jobsite in four or five loads with easy self-assembly controlled largely via handheld wireless remote
