Caterpillar has introduced the Cat 253 compact track loader, designed for grading and material handling with a rated operating capacity of 2,006 pounds and an operating weight of 9,343 pounds.
Building on the 259D3 platform, the 253 features a redesigned undercarriage with four independent, frame-mounted axles and 15-inch C-pattern tracks designed to improve traction and stability across varied terrain.
The machine is available with a canopy or sealed, pressurized cab. Standard-flow hydraulics are standard on canopy models, while cab models come with high-flow hydraulics. Other features include a two-speed transmission, a heated air-ride seat, adjustable joystick controls and a 5-inch LCD display.
Technology features include automatic self-leveling, return-to-dig and work-tool positioners, creep speed and float mode. A rearview camera displays on the LCD screen, while Product Link Elite collects operating data for remote machine health monitoring through VisionLink.
