With so much happening at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, it’s easy for even major machine launches to get lost in the shuffle. We’re narrowing the spotlight to new excavators and mini excavators debuting across the show floor. Manufacturers are introducing next-generation models focused on efficiency, operator comfort and integrated jobsite technology.

Here’s a quick look at some of the excavator models making their debut.

Takeuchi-US will introduce the all-new TB3150R compact excavator. Positioned as the next step in the company’s equipment evolution, the TB3150R builds on Takeuchi’s focus on durability and operator-centered design in the compact class.

Bobcat E20

Bobcat Company will spotlight its next-generation E20 compact excavator. The zero-tail-swing machine is designed for work in tight areas and features smooth joystick controls for precision operation.

Komatsu PC220LCi-12 and PC365LC-11

Komatsu will showcase the PC220LCi-12 and PC365LC-11 multifunction plus excavators, both designed to combine advanced technology with practical machine design. The company has indicated an additional new excavator will also be unveiled during the show.

Liebherr R 945 and A 924

Liebherr will feature the R 945 crawler excavator for heavy-duty quarrying and earthmoving applications, emphasizing machine control and durability. The wheeled A 924 excavator highlights mobility and compact design for infrastructure and civil projects.

Hyundai Construction Equipment North America plans to unveil the first U.S. and Canadian models in its Next Generation HX crawler excavator lineup. The new HX machines incorporate updated technologies aimed at improving fuel efficiency, productivity, operator comfort and serviceability. Hyundai will also host a daily operator challenge in its West Hall booth.

CASE D Series and E Series Updates

CASE Construction Equipment will present new D Series 3-ton mini excavators, the CX70E midi excavator and updates to its E Series full-size excavator lineup. The machines reflect the company’s focus on attachment versatility, connectivity and precision control systems.

DEVELON -9 Series Excavators

DEVELON introduced its new -9 Series crawler excavators in North America, showcasing four models: the DX230LC-9, DX260LC-9, DX360LC-9 and DX400LC-9. The machines are designed to improve productivity, safety and operator comfort and will gradually replace the company’s current -7 Series models.

The excavators feature technologies such as Advanced Lift Assist, which displays lifting capacity and alerts operators to potential tipping hazards.
