Developed by Liebherr-France SAS in Colmar, France,  the R 950 Tunnel crawler excavator, which replaces the R 944 C Tunnel, is dedicated to the construction of tunnels and offers a compact size, high productivity and comfort.

  • Operating weight of approximately 45 tonnes
  • Liebherr-designed Tier 4 Final diesel engine delivers up to 204 hp (258 hp optional)
  • Adapts to a tunnel height of 16 to 26 ft.
  • Height adjustment feature automatically stops machine movement to avoid impact with the surroundings
  • Short turning radius and rear and lateral cameras further minimize the risk of impact
  • Special hydraulic system for mounting cutting heads enables an increase in power, hydraulic oil flow and optimized hydraulic cooling
  • Hydraulic quick coupler with in-cab adjustment of flow rate, pressures and return of flow
  • Comfortable cab with ROPS integral structure available in open or enclosed versions
