Bid-Well has expanded beyond paving equipment with the launch of its MT Series, a line of material transport systems built for bridge construction.

The first model in the series, the MT Behemoth, is designed for heavy lifting and precise material movement. A stationary power unit drives the system’s travel, trolley movement, elevation adjustments and powered accessories. The frame is constructed from high-strength weathering steel for durability, and a generator supports up to three transport trollies and their hoists.

The MT Behemoth uses an eight-wheel bogie system to distribute weight and minimize stress on rails or brackets. Its hydraulic motor-driven leg system adjusts elevation, and the machine can lift loads of up to 7.5 tons to heights of 20 to 100 feet, with lifting speeds reaching 21 feet per minute. In engineered configurations, the system can span up to 120 feet, with longer options available.

Operators can choose between remote or pendant controls, and tandem lifting is supported for more complex lifts. The system is also designed to integrate with Bid-Well bridge pavers and truss configurations.

According to the company, the MT Series was developed from decades of experience in bridge paving projects and aims to give contractors safer, more efficient options for moving materials such as deck pans, rebar and forms.
