PCA Recognizes Holcim Plants for Safety, Environmental Impact

At the Portland Cement Association's Spring Board of Directors meeting Holcim (US) Inc. received awards for safety and environmental performance

Holcim (US) Inc. announced today that two of its plants – Holly Hill in Holly Hill, S.C. and Theodore in Theodore, Ala. – were recognized during the Portland Cement Association's (PCA) Spring Board of Directors meeting in Chicago on April 16, 2012.

The Holly Hill plant received the PCA's prestigious Chairman's Safety Performance Award in recognition of its exceptional health and safety programs. The Theodore plant received the Environmental Performance Award in recognition of the steps it takes beyond those required by laws, regulations and permits to minimize their impact on the environment.
