LATROBE, Pa. /PRNewswire/ -- Kennametal Inc. announced today that it raised more than $570,000 in support of the United Way and its agencies during the company's 2010 United Way Campaign.
Of the total, $328,488 was pledged by more than 900 employees throughout Kennametal facilities nationwide. More than $146,000 was raised through Kennametal's annual Strategic Supplier Golf Outing and other special events, and $40,000 was contributed by the Kennametal Foundation. A donation of $56,191 from the Richard King Mellon Foundation Matching Program brought the final total to more than $570,000.
Kennametal's fundraising efforts will benefit United Way agencies throughout the United States where the company's employees work and live.
