Mack Trucks has made its new highway model, the Mack Pioneer, available for virtual exploration through two online platforms: the Mack Live Tour and the Truck Builder. The digital tools allow prospective buyers to tour and customize the Pioneer remotely.
The Mack Live Tour connects customers with product specialists who provide personalized, one-on-one virtual tours of the Pioneer. Each 30-minute session is tailored to the customer’s interests, with specialists walking through various features and configurations of the truck. The platform uses a one-way video format, keeping the customer’s video private while allowing real-time interaction through audio or chat.
After the virtual tour, customers can move on to the Truck Builder platform, where they can fully customize their truck. The 3D tool allows users to explore both the exterior and cab interior, select trim options, choose exterior paint colors, and configure major components including powertrain, axles, suspension, and chassis.
The Mack Pioneer is designed to improve both driver comfort and operational efficiency. Mack reports that the new design offers up to an 11% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to previous models. The truck is available in multiple configurations, including Day Cab, 44-inch Mid-Roof Sleeper, 64-inch Mid-Roof Sleeper, 76-inch Mid-Roof Sleeper, and 76-inch High-Roof Sleeper.
Key features of the Pioneer include:
- Distinctive grille design with integrated headlamps
- Premium seating system with heating, cooling, and massage functions
- Industry-first flat-bottom steering wheel
- Optional digital mirror system
- Advanced HVAC with door-mounted louvers
- Optional integrated parking cooler
- Dual wireless charging stations
The Mack Live Tour is open to qualified buyers in the U.S. and Canada, while the Truck Builder is available to anyone interested in exploring customization options.
