Yanmar America has launched the 4TN86DHT engine series, expanding its offerings with a new line of compact, efficient and emissions-compliant diesel engines for industrial equipment. The series includes three configurations: the base model 4TN86DHT-XNYEM and two power pack variants equipped with either a pusher fan (PIH-P) or puller fan (PIH-S).

Each engine in the series is a 4-cylinder, 2.09-liter (127 cu. in.) unit capable of delivering 59 horsepower (44.0 kW) at 2,500 RPM. Designed for performance and fuel efficiency, the engines consume an estimated 3.37 gallons (12.8 liters) per hour under typical operating conditions. Turbocharging, intercooling and common-rail direct injection enable the engines to perform reliably in a range of environments and workloads.

The 4TN86DHT series builds on Yanmar’s TNV platform and is compliant with Final Tier 4 and EU Stage V emissions standards. The engines are engineered to balance environmental performance with the high torque and dependability required in modern construction, agricultural and industrial machinery.

The power pack versions offer additional flexibility for equipment manufacturers. The pusher fan model is suited for high-speed, lower-temperature applications, while the puller fan is more effective in lower-speed, higher-temperature environments. These configurations allow OEMs to match cooling strategies with the thermal demands of their specific equipment designs.

The new engine line also integrates structural features designed to reduce vibration and enhance durability in demanding applications.

The 4TN86DHT is intended for OEMs seeking efficient, emissions-compliant power solutions with options for system integration and customization.
