The MD5150C track drill, the first of the C Series drills, features Cat components. It delivers optimal power and high airflow for fast, efficient drilling of holes from 4 to 6 in. in diameter and depths to 102.5 ft. The unit offers a choice of three different rock drills, a patented carousel rod changer, ergonomic cab and other features to boost productivity and reduce operating costs.
- Provides 18% more power, 33% more air volume and 40% more air pressure, 19% faster tram speed and 40% greater ground clearance than the MD5125 it replaces
- HPR5128 standard rock drill uses 51mm drill steel, while the optional HPR6832 rock drill can use 68mm speed rod and the HPR6030 is designed for 60mm drill steel
- Carousel rod changer and feed assembly system hold six rods and accommodate two lengths and multiple diameters of drill steel
- Heavy-duty 9-ft. boom extends to 11 ft. for larger pattern coverage with fewer setups
- Holes can be drilled within 24 in. of the highwall
- 385-hp C11 Tier 3 engine works as a system with a 534-cfm air compressor to optimize air flow
- Smart drill monitoring system tracks changes in rock formation and automatically adjusts impact and feed pressure
- Anti-jam, anti-plunge and anti-plug capabilities keep the drill working efficiently and extend drill string life
