The auto-balanced, heavy-duty 6-in. WEPA14-150 Quick angle grinder uses an auto-balancing flange pressed onto the spindle to replace the traditional backing flange. The ball bearing automatically offset out-of-balance conditions while the tool is in use, reducing vibration. The WEPA14-150 is designed for heavy-duty cutting and grinding and is powered by a 12.2 A motor. A sonically-balanced fan with improved venting and more efficient internal ducting increases air flow. Metabo's Vibratech side handle reduces vibration. Other tool safety features include a non-locking paddle switch, current interruption switch, toolless locking wheel guard with seven positions and the Metabo "S-Automatic" safety slip clutch. The dust protection system includes an encapsulated on/off switch and auto-stop carbon brushes, double-lipped labyrinth sealed bearings, and a dust-deflecting winding protection grid and epoxy coated field coil windings.
