FHWA Gives Illiana Expressway Green Light

The Federal Highway Administration has signed off on the planning phase for the Illiana Expressway. Officials can now move the $1.5 billion project into an implementation phase which will include the continued exploration of a public-private partnership to finance the road. Another step will include the start of land acquisition.
