Google Hoping to Invest in New Tennessee Data Center

Google looking to invest $500 million to build its 15th data center at the site of the old Hemlock Semiconductor building

Google is looking to invest $500 million to build a data center at the former Tennessee Valley Authority megasite once home to Hemlock Semiconductor in Clarksville, Tenn.

While Google has not released plans or a timeline for the data center, the design phase could take six to 12 months while construction could last another 18 months to two years.

This would be Google's 15th data center.
